Who is behind filmlocationstore.com?

Behind filmlocationstore.com there is an audiovisual professional crew with more than 30 years of experience in scouting locations, pre-production, production and post-production of audiovisual projects.

Filmlocationstore.com was born from the necessity of a group of location managers to organize their photographic stock that was constantly increasing. At the beginning we had to send images on photographic paper to our clients, using courier services, but after the change from analogical to digital image, we had growing stacks of CDs and it started to become difficult to find in those CDs images shot some time before.

Moreover, as images size were quite large, the task of sending locations pictures to our clients wasn’t very easy because we were losing a lot of time in compressing and sending images by e-mail. One of these location managers thought in the possibility of creating a web in which to stock all our location images and make them accessible to clients of different geographic areas, with no need of using couriers or e-mails.

What at the beginning was meant to be a brief and simple software development became a more and more complete tool. Our services got everyday better, both for location managers and their own clients, since it has been designed starting from contributions of both sides (location managers and clients).

At the end, the result has been so satisfactory that we decided to share our investigations and developments of the last five years. Internet digital photography explosion and network connection improvements, as well as technology accessibility, favoured our decision to embrace the adventure of offering to our industry’s professionals a tool originated from personal necessity and from the ambition to improve our work.

Filmlocationstore’s main office is in Seville, Spain, from where we offer services to worldwide audiovisual professionals, while we keep producing our own cinematographic projects.
